For the last 20 years the talented Ian Person has been a major influential player in the rock n’ roll scene of Sweden. He founded his first band when he was only 11 years old and has since those early days inspired countless of musicians around the globe and was a songwriter and guitarist for the two now legendary bands Union Carbide Productions and The Soundtrack of Our Lives.

Ever since TSOOL decided to split in 2012 Ian Person has been busy writing new material and has managed to amass a remarkable amount of superb tracks. He describes the creation of the album as a “Travelling on an timeless emotional rollercoaster while also balancing on top of a razor blade”.

Last year saw the release of Yo-Yo, a timeless classic with vibes of the US West coast's golden age of rock, which was the first single from the upcoming album. Produced together with Don Alsterberg (Graveyard, Junip) and Welfare Sounds very own Per Stålberg & Olle Björk.

We at Welfare Sounds & Records are now proud to be releasing "Exit: Highway Of Light". An album packed with songs that have been woven together by a man whose musical experience extends far beyond your wildest dreams.
