A few months back, I was contacted by Johnny of The Ace, asking if I would be interested in putting out their album on Ice Cream Man Records, well do bears, you know what, in the woods? Here it is in all it's glory!
The Ace is a band I have been following with a very keen interest over the last few years, so it is an absolute honour and a privelege to put their latest offering out on my label.
The Ace is a band from Leeds who are going from strength to strength., This latest LP shows a band that are very quickly climbing to the top of their game and their game is draped in the fizzy sounds of 60's beat garage, with a touch of Bubblegum, a dash of soul and a dollop of pop making them a real toe tapping, upbeat affair and that is just what the world needs right now.

‘With an authentic garage/mod beat they really sound great and put the Power into Powerpop’
‘It’s a great mod beat, you just can’t beat’
A clean dozen tracks of effervescent power-pop meets West Coast 60s garage. There is the Moon-esque pummeling of the drums, the heavy riffing of a master, and some hyperventilating vocals..in other words, something for every rock’n’roll fan whose pulse can raise itself when needed.

‘That is as good as any song I've heard all year’
‘The ever excellent band The Ace’
